Chris knows bear hunting and does a great job getting bear in front of you. If you are looking to hunt black bear I would start with Chris. I have hunted with him 3 years and took 2 bear and could have on the other occasion. This is a semi guided hunt he takes you out on the first day and gets you on stand but after that you grab your bait before you go out and head out on your own. It works well and at the end of the day Chris won't go to bed until everyone returns to camp. We had proof of that on this particular hunt not returning till 4am. We had a very successful week and I believe we went 11 for 12 with everyone having an opportunity to take a bear. I do miss Lottie cooking at the lodge but I did get my fix at her restaurant next to the camp...had to get my blueberry pie fix. Great time with the Michigan, South Dakota and Missouri families and I can't wait to get back to camp.
