Premier Outfitters - the perfect blend of Southern hospitality and big Kentucky whitetails. I just returned from the late season muzzle loader hunt. We stayed at the North lodge which was a two story log home built by Mennenite craftsmen. Beautiful surroundings set up for whitetails including a yard which was clover instead of fescue. We started the hunt hoping for the best but realizing the weather was not cooperating with nightly lows in the mid-60s and highs near 80. Certainly not what you expect in December. Still we had great results. Out of six hunters, three had shots at trophy bucks and saw additional shooters. Another guest saw a shooter but was not able to get a clear shot. Does and turkeys were seen in abundance. Personally I saw a buck of a lifetime at near dark standing in heavy brush watching does in a green field. By the time I put down the binoculars and grabbed the muzzle loader he had turned and stepped back into the timber. Although he never appeared again it was a heart pounding experience. Already planning to try again next year. thanks to Mark and his guides for their outstanding efforts

Outfitter's Response
Agree

Dan, thank you for the review. Man did we have bad weather for that hunt. Two of the 4 days we had sustained winds of 24 mph and 27mph with near 80 degree temps and that was after a rain storm. Needless to say 3 bucks were missed with muzzle loaders and I wish you could have harvested yours. But 4 opportunities out of 6 hunters is good and I will take that. Looking forward to having you back in camp in 2016.
