i took my three children(adam 20, Kyle 17, and Nicole 16)to pine acres. We arrived on Saturday night(one night early) and were allowed to stay in our outpost that evening. The next day Chris showed us trailcams of hunting spots. All of them had nice bears >300lbs hitting the bait. They also set up a double ladder stand so i could sit with my daughter. I only sat 2 hours with her because that is when she shot a nice 300-350-lb sow. And i got it all on video. Everybody in our group saw bears that night. Kyle and and adam could have shot that night as well but chose not too. Brady was our guide . He tok us out the first day and showed us our baits. The following days , he took the boys. I went to anew stand. Wednesday, I had the oppurtunity to shoot a 400lb+ boar. Unfortunately , mechanical trouble with my bow. Then, Friday night, adam and i both shot at bears. But were unable to find them. That's on the hunters, not the guides. We met at basecamp every night after hunting and discussed what happened. Then every morning, Chris either stuck the same plan or he would change it up. Facilities were great. Staff was great. They hustle to make it fun and beneficial. Thanks Saxon for skinning Nicoles bear. The meat is the best bear meat i have had. I think its the bait.Got to go fishing and caught some pike in the river too.Definitely planning to go back there and even possibly wolf hunt. This is my 3rd bear hunt. This was top notch compared to last two. and i even killed bears on those hunts. Thanks again Chris and will stay in touch.
None to date. If you are the outfitter please email us.
We sat in the rain when Nicole shot her bear. It was a steady rain for 1 1/2 days
