I must start by saying that it is a true pleasure to have the opportunity to provide an outfitter report on African Arrow Safaris, and in particular, owner and PH - Harry Nel. This journey began one year ago, first - with the desire to travel to a new and unique land to hunt new and exciting species, and second - to choose the right outfit to make our dream come true. Many hours were spent researching bowhunting only outfitters and making contact to those with stellar feedback and reputation. After this process and conclusion of the hunt, there is no question in my mind, that we made the right choice with Harry Nel and African Arrow Safaris.

I cannot say enough positives about our entire African experience, from the personal treatment and respect we witnessed during the booking process, the ease of logistics from Johannesburg to the lodge, the pride of a family business, and the skill of the Professional Hunter, Harry Nel, who has truly earned the title. It was a refreshing honor to become part of this experience during our 10 day adventure, a pleasure to watch someone care so much about their livelihood and chosen profession.

To say that the hunting is good with African Arrow Safaris is a gross understatement. We were continually presented a wonderful display of African species on every hunt. Often times we had 5 to 6 different species coming to water during a hunt within one of Harry's hides. The trophy quality on the property is outstanding and you can be assured that Harry will do his best to put you on the best that he has available. And, when and if you make a "not so perfect" shot, I can tell you that you have an unbelievable Tracker, Harry Nel himself, to perform his magic. I can attest that his desire and ability to recover your animal, is second to none. This is the type of outfit you want to be hunting with - one that cares.

The treatment you are lucky enough to receive back at the lodge is also second to none, with Harry's father Coen, and mother Henriette, making sure you are well taken care of, well fed, and well rested for another day of hunting the bushveld. I'm not sure you can find better people anywhere on this planet...only wish you all were a little closer to home! Thank you all so much for making our dreams a reality and sharing your passion for the hunt with us! We WILL be back........
