I arrived in camp on Nov 13th and was greeted by the owner Mark Clifford and his staff as I was in 2008 on my first hunt and offered assistance with the unloading of my gear and then shown to my favorite room in the lodge that I had requested.That evening all the hunters in camp meet at the outdoor kitchen and had a great meal served by a nice fire pit. Afterwards we were given a orentation on the do's and dont's of the hunt. We were all shown what to harvest and what not to harvest and what to expect on our 4 day hunt. I have hunted alot of places in 65 years and the attention to detail that is demonstrated at Premier Outfitters is very hard to come by. Mark Clifford runs a first rate opperation and his staff is always willing to go the extra mile to make your hunt rewarding. Ok on to the hunt! The weather was hot the first two days and big buck movement was slow but everyone reported seeing several bucks per hunt. On the third day the weather broke and cooled off and Mark personally took me to a farm that had not been hunted all season and that afternoon after seeing countless bucks chasing I got a crack at the best buck of my life and sealed the deal on a 150 inch Kentucky brute he weighed 238lbs. If you are looking for a outfitter that has enough ground to grow and hold trophy bucks this is one, with 8000 acres and the option to have more this is the place. All aspects of my hunt were as advertised no unpleasant suprises no overcrowding as so many of the places I have been to.The food was great and the service was to. If you want to hunt BIG DEER book a hunt with these people before they become like the rest of the truly good places to hunt(booked)no room and a waiting list.Lord willing and the creek don't rise I will be back in 2010.
