If you are looking to do a black bear hunt you can't go wrong with Mike's operation. This was my first time hunting in Canada and my first time hunting with Mike's Outfitting. He has been guiding for a lot of years and is very knowledgeable about the game and the land. Being a bowhunter himself he understands what it takes to be successfull at bowhunting and one look at his trophy room and it's obvious. All of his baits were set up to make the bears offer a good broadside shot when entering and also has a great system to help judge the size of the bears while they are at the bait. Most all of his treestands are permanent stands that he built himself which are large, comfortable and placed from 15 to 20 yards from the baits. I hunted for 6 days and saw a total of 13 bears. I shot a 300lb, 18 1/2 inch boar and managed to get a wolf with my bow also. I would highly recommend Mike as you will have a hard time find anyone who works harder to make his hunters successful.
