DAY 5 |
|
Today we went looking for a bear and along the way we came upon this small Woody Stag and I was able to get within 4 yards of him. getting close to a woody Video of Charlie walking within 6 yards of this Bull We did spot a black bear sow with two cubs but in all honesty I was entirely satisfied after the success of the moose hunt and decided to give the guides a break. We really didn't push it for bears and I decided that my trip was complete without one. I spent my last night in Newfoundland enjoying this wonderful part of Canada with the great people from White Feather Lodge. Tomorrow I head home on the ferry and the drive back home to Rhode Island. I hope you enjoyed following my hunt!
The Newfoundland Ferry is the only way to drive your vehicle to Newfoundland and I have had great luck with them on all 6 trips. The web address for, costs, reservations and schedule is www.marine-atlantic.ca Newfoundland Ferry lets you drive from the Northeast and take your vehicle right to Newfoundland. This is a great way to get your moose and caribou meat home without the hassles of flying!
