Morning Hunt
A really nice buck showed up on trail camera a few days ago at Kent's Draw. It's a ground blind that sits at the edge of a large wheat field. I had hunted this blind for four consecutive hunts last year. The morning was very slow, and all I saw was a small 8 point 2 year old. I'm going to hunt this stand in the afternoon in a day or two.
Afternoon Hunt
For the afternoon hunt I went back to the stand I hunted the morning of Day 1. The Tree belt was slow that first morning, and it was slow again tonight. I saw one old busted up buck, one doe, and one fork. It was a very slow day.
LOCATION
Our hunt takes place in South Central Kansas in Comanche County which is down near the Oklahoma Border. The habitat is a mix of prairie, treebelts, river bottoms, and large agricultural fields. Prime Whitetail habitat.
