THURSDAY EVENING
We are on the tail end of some brutally warm weather. I was literally hunting in my Sitka long underwear shirt this evening. I hunted Kent's tree belt but I never saw a deer.
Jake, on the other hand, saw a shooter but decided it was too early in the hunt to kill him. He's setting his sights on a booner this year. The hunter who just left played us a video of two bucks north of 180" hanging near a stand we call the "Kill Tree. "
The crappy weather will be here for a couple more days. A weather change is coming over the weekend and the temps are plummeting 30-40 degrees overnight with evenings in the teens and highs in the 40's.
Despite the slow evening it's great to be back.
