Thursday:

It would have been a good morning until Gary Thelen realized that somewhere in the last ten miles was my bow in the road. It had slid out of my truck and onto the pavement. I put Gary into his stand then sped back down the road. Luckily, my homemade recurve had survived with just a busted quiver, a slightly damaged limb tip, and two broken arrows. After that Scott Rupert and I sat in opposite trees to shoot does. We saw no deer today but had a fun time. Meanwhile, Bill Grassel from PA shot a doe with a nice double lung hit and Steve Rupert took another nice doe on a crop damage permit. A monster ten point was seen and Ron Colledge of Millflintown PA missed a nice buck.
