Plane crashes into world trade center!

You heard it here first! Good luck getting onto a news site right now. Their pipelines are JAMMED! From what I hear, the plane crashed into the 80th floor and there are holes on two sides of the building. No word on damage and casualties yet.

The news is somewhat confused this early into the story. But the latest I heard on the radio is two planes.

It looks like two separate points of impact.

What's happening? I can't get any news except wild rumors that we're under attack. Does anyone outside NYC know anything?

I can't get any news, everything is jammed up. Somebody my wife works with was on CNN and it said 2 different planes hit it. He tried to refresh his screen and now can't get back in.

Two planes, first one hit one tower and the second one hit 18 minutes later. Watching it on your CNN right now.

They have video of the second plane diving right into the second tower.

Current news reports and video footage shows an Airbus 2 engine jet crash into the WTC. BOTH towers were hit by seperate aircraft.

The news centers are jammed and it's impossible to get into their sites. This is obviously an attack.

As i was watching coverage of the first impact, a second plane flew into the OTHER tower. Looking at film, it was a 737 type.

Guess these ragheads don't like to loose.

I think first we should find out WHO'S responsible. Remember OK City? Every screamed "ragheads" at first. Turned out is was two of our own.

But, just to speculate, who did all the airling terrorism back in the 80's? Sure as heck wasn't Americans.

I only speculate in that direction becuse of the bombing of the trade center and the men convited of it.

CNN reports at least 1,000 injuries from the twin disasters, which happened shortly before 9 a.m. and then right around 9 a.m.

The Palistineans may have claimed responsibility without having actually done it. It is typical in situations like this for lots of groups to come forward.

No matter. Anyone who claims responsibility should be given the full force and effect of the response.

Early reports of plane passengers is each under 100. Both towers have now crashed down. Pentagon also took plane crash, car bomb outside state department.

WCBS-TV, citing an FBI agent, said five or six people jumped out of the windows. People screamed every time another person leaped.

David Reck was handing out literature for a candidate for public advocate a few blocks away when he saw a jet come in "very low, and then it made a slight twist and dove into the building."

People ran down the stairs in panic and fled the building. Thousands of pieces of what appeared to be office paper came drifting over Brooklyn, about three miles away.

Within the hour, an aircraft crashed on a helicopter landing pad near the Pentagon, and the West Wing of the White House was evacuated amid threats of terrorism. And another explosion rocked New York about an hour after the crash.

"Today we've had a national tragedy," Bush said in Sarasota, Fla. "Two airplanes have crashed into the World Trade Center in an apparent terrorist attack on our country." He said he would be returning immediately to Washington.

American Airline just confirmed that two of their planes were hijacked today containing a total of 164 passengers and crew. Apparently these are the two planes that hit the WTC.

Maybe I'm ignorant- but how much coordination would it take? Find planes going over NY at about the same time, find another going over DC- there's a mess in the air at any time- hijack them and crash them into a target. There are certain groups with people lined up to die for their twisted cause- a limited amount of controls instruction and you have a trajedy on your hands. I guess the only complication would be smuggling maybe weapons on-board for hijack purposes- but that's probably not too tough either. There are already folks in this country waiting for instructions...

Three weeks ago in an interview with an Arab journalist, Osama Bin Ladin promised an act of unprecedented terrorism against the United States. That sounds like a guilty plea to me. So hopefully, in the near future he will see first hand if there really is a paradise for martyrs. But at the moment here in New York we are experiencing horror, fear, and confusion.

God bless their souls. the greensburgh, PA 911 center got a call at 9:58 AM from a passanger that pleaded for help because they were being hijacked. then in the middle of the call there was an explosion and the line went dead. the plane originated in clevelend went down in somerset, direct route to DC. bet the air force took them out before they could do more damage.

United flight #175, a Boeing 757 is confirmed by the airline to be the second United flight missing. This plane contains 56 passengers, 2 pilots, and 7 other crew members. The other United flight was the one that crashed in PA.

UNconfirmed is a report that flight #175 is on the ground in Ohio, uncrashed, and under heavy guard.

If the unconfirmed report is true, and it was hijacked, we may have a live terrorist captured.

right now there is more hot air from people who think they have to something & anything.Most don't know anything, and are guilty of wanting to appear more knowing than they are. Sort of a Al Haig "I'm in charge here" mentality. Rumors will be reported as fact, and there are few facts beside the obvious. When the dust clears and calmer heads prevail who ever did this will wish they had not opened this particular can of worms.

Screw the waiting! Drop cluster bombs on those Palestinians celebrating on the West Bank now! We have to take this conflict to those who support terrorism, not just the actual perpetrators. Take out Khadafi, Saddam, the Iranians, etc. now, and we won't have this problem in the future. How many more of our own civilians are we willing to sacrifice before we start taking it to those civilians in other countries who support these hideous acts.

My Daughter was in Manhatten, just entering her modeling agency not that far when the first plane hit. If it was a nuke, she would be toast... I thank God the perps did not have access to that!

She was ok after the frist plane crash happened, but hope she didnt get near the buildings for a closer look... both collapsed in horrific and never seen before crashes... I would imagine many deaths occured by onlookers..

Also heard a report that up to 50,000 people work total in both buildings.. Obviously the toll has the potential to be between 10,000 and 20,000 people.

Also, the Pentagon is said to house appx 25,000 workers, however it seems that only about 20percent? was damaged as compared to the high rises which were both a total loss.

My brother in north jersey said it's so strange that life seems normal on the west side of the river, yet on the other it's hell. Traffic was not bad when he left wrok ealry to avoid rush hour.

He said the subways were running again except in the blast zone, and people were getting out of NYC. No fatalities #s being released, most serious injuries are going to 2 local hospitals, rest to other NYC hospitals.

They're saying that the portion of the Pentagon that was hit had recently been remodeled and not all of the offices had been moved back in yet so the Pentagon casualty numbers are far less than they could have been.

Also, they are reporting that there are credible reports that a passenger jet nearly hit the White House dome this morning.
