Often, there is no blood for the first 20-40 yards from the arrow-impact location. So you did a 50 yard radius and come across what can be described as a great blood trail. But since you got turned around, you need to analyze the trail to see what direction it is heading in. You do this by analyzing blood spatter patterns.
