The amount of blood you saw in the last clue was short-lived. Fifty yards from that spot the blood is progressively more difficult to find. You and your two buddy's would walk the maze of trails and find a single drop every 30-50 yards. This goes on for hours until you get to the edge of the ditch (see the graphic) and there you continue to search for blood. Your buddy is Red/Green Color Blind and this is what he sees:
