Clue 8 |
An actual, recent, Bloodtrail |
This bloodtrail is 100%
real. All the pictures and steps are as it happened during a CT Deer hunt in January, 2008. Good Luck!
You are trailing a deer shot on an urban deer cull hunt in Southwest Ct.
Note: This trail is a textbook edition. That does not mean there are no tricks, but rather we followed generally understood best practices. Please keep that in mind when answering.

In a very strange turn of events the deer that ran off with our now 'deceased' deer has come back. This presents you with a dilemma, and an opportunity.
Here are the facts:
- You are hunting in an unlimited antlerless area. You have many more tags
- The other deer has dropped within sight
- The landowner wants all deer removed
- The deer has no buttons, it is a doe
- It is legal to shoot more than one deer in one day
|
Details of the deer you have been trailing. The total distance traveled with 40 yards. The deer was shot through the bottom of it's heart. While we obviously saw the deer drop within sight, we still followed all of the clues just as they happened in Questions 1-7 albeit we knew we were tracking a dead deer.
