Neither buck had that drooped big belly older bucks seem to get, both had sizeable necks but the rut had to do with that. Mature enough deer, they do not appear to be older though...

Guessing Pat is trying to trick us with bucks of the same age so I just chose a middle of the road age although my gut says 5.5 on one of them.

Buck #1 looks past his prime. Grayer face & slight dip behind the shoulder blades. Buck #2 hind quarters looked much narrower than the front quarters. I don't think he is fully mature yet.

The first buck I really don't think his body says 5.5 but the non typical rack kind of gets me. I wanted to say 3.5 for him. The second buck look like he should for a 4.5 year old. Tough going by pic

Buck #1 appears to a more mature deer with saggy belly and more blocky appearance. Buck #2 not so much - more straight/sleek lines yet heavy shoulders.

Buck 1 - nice rack, body not as filled out as buck #2. Buck 2 - blocky body.

Deer one looks like a tank, big belly, heavy briskey, loose skin around face. Deer 2 also looks like a mature deer but not as old as deer 1. Was torn between 4.5 or 5.5 and went with 5.5.

Buck one has all the signs of an older deer. Big belly, sway back and block head. Buck 2 is mature but appears to be a couple years younger. Not as "beefy" and seems to be more athletic.

Buck 1- Sagging belly and thick brisket. Very large massive antlers. Buck 2- Solid mature body but not any signs of sagging belly or brisket.

Looked mainly at body shape, more belly being older buck, and the first being a non-typical generally older bucks get non-typical points. I could be way off. A little greying on the muzzle on that one

I based my guesses on deer I've seen in my native Mass. In KS, those could be 2.5 Year Olds ;) ha! It was the heaviness of the body's that lead me to go with my guesses...

Buck #1 is certainly a mature deer, didn't get a good look at his chest and is yet to have the classic roman nose. Buck #2 has a deep chest but still lacks the roman nose..neither deer are very gray

Buck #1's body screams 7.5 years old to me but I see 5.5 in his face, so I split the difference Buck #2 seems to be 4.5. Belly and back level like a race horse. Still a touch of youth in his face
