There will be shots taken at the head that end up in the body. This gizmo looks like it'd likely bounce right off the thick coat of feathers if a body shot were to happen. And even if it does penetrate enough to kill the turkey humanely, it doesn't look like it'll leave much good meat to consume. |

needs more sweep back on blades; it probably would bounce off a turkey if it hit wrong; and the energy might be thrown off the blade with a good hit anyway. |

not for turkey hunting as intended, but i can see it's uses in a creative way....3d broadhead shoots for example ;o)....or on a flu-flu for aireal targets...
it also might be good for the economy, creating a whole new line of products such as specialized quivers.
never reject such creativity off hand without looking for non-obvious and creative uses.
of course, i think they are over priced, but if someone wanted to send me some.... |

This broadhead (pictured) is misleading. The website shows one with sheaths, that allow the arrow to fly as straight as a field point. That's the "marketable" aspect of this broadhead. Otherwise you wouldn't even be looking at it. Who would buy a broadhead that wouldn't fly straight? No one. This one DOES fly straight. It's actually NOT a 128gr head. It's 125. Let's all get our facts straight. |

Dont know if it would go thru a screen. the blades are very thin so not alot of planning. It is the plastic sleaves over the blade you see flying off not the blades. I believe it is something you would put on an arrow when you sat down to call not carry in a quiver |

I see this as being a great new idea. As far as to question the ethics behind head shots, thier video clears up any questions I had on thier effectiveness, and it seems you either have a vitaly impacted bird, or a clean miss. I'll see how it works for some other hunters before I spend my money, the price is the biggest down side for me. |
From: Medic |
This makes the head shot as feasable as the "approved" vital shot for an archery turkey. |
From: CoElkHntr |
well...nothing in arcery is cheap. better be close 'cause this babys gonna plane something fierce, large diameter does allow for a little though. I think their on the right track. Good idea. |

From: ELKNINJA |
|
From: WW |
I don't believe they will fly well past 15 yards. That was the distance the person in the booth told me was "ethical".
It is not a kill or miss proposition either as he stated. You can still shoot off a little and just nick the bird. Shoot off a lot low and the arrow will NOT penetrate the bird.
I'll pass and keep on shooting my Wasp SSTs with a Zwickey Scorpio |
From: arrowflinger |

From: White Ape |

Now I have no intention of using these heads, but I was there and these guys have done their homework. If you watch the video it shows what the head will do. These guys were spending alot of time making sure to tell everyone( I witnessed) NOT TO TAKE BODY SHOTS with this head as it woun't do the job. Check it out for yourself and then make up your own mind. |
