Hunter Comments
I do not recommend this outfitter

Advantages: The hunting was very tough because the wind was unreal. Blowing so hard it made it difficult to walk. Did hear turkeys gobble the only morning with wind under 30 mph and saw turkey at long distance and turkey sign was almost everywhere. The property is about the only thing I can't complain about. Met the property owner when he was feeding his cows, got more information from him than from our "Guides". Food was put in the oven in the afternoon for evening meal. It was OK, but nothing great. Grilled Chicken/baked beans, baked Pork loin/potato, ham/salad/corn/potato, Pizza, were the meals for the 4 nights.

Disadvantages: When we arrived at our lodge, nobody was around and it was locked. Texted Jeff, he did call back about 20 min later and then told us that there was a key in the window. Information that would have been nice to know before arriving. Everyone on the street with this "lodge" has to know where the key is, so not save to leave anything of value. To say the lodge was filthy was an understatement!!! Dirt in the beds, used towels and bathcloths in the shower (also just nasty), spider webs and bugs everywhere. Kitchen area was unspeakable and open drinks and leftovers in the refrigerator. I had communicated repeated times that one of our hunters needed a blind because of limited mobility, when ask, they did supply a blind, but no chair. Had been told that the blind would be set up close to feed. Asked Jeff if he wanted to be notifed if we killed anything, "NO, you are on your own, come and go as you please". There was no good place to clean a turkey if we had gotten anything and no freezer except a small section of refrigerator freezer to put any meat or turkey. Had paid for a semi-guided hunt, just barely got shown where the property was. Was told to let them know if we wanted to move, but never asked how we were doing until last afternoon and got a text that "you are good hunters, just bad weather". How the heck do you know if we are good hunters, barely saw Jeff or Jesse and they lied to us. Had been to local store where other hunters were staying in trailers; store owner told us that the one good morning, that group had gotten good birds. When we asked Jesse, "Nobody has killed anything." Then went thru the garbage, only assuming looking for turkey remains. When caught in the act, Jesse said he had accidently thrown something away....

Comments: I had made the assumption that it would be a "Hunting lodge" with a place to clean the turkeys and scales, tape measure, etc.. I asked if they had a scale we could use, "check the 'junk drawer', there may even be a vibrator in there..." . We did not think that was funny.

Jesse drove like a bad out of h*** with us trying to keep up on dirt road. Once we got there, he showed us boundaries on the cell phone and said that we were to NOT HUNT the afternoon when we were scouting the property even knowing the weather was going to be terrible our entire hunt. He was at the property all of 7min, had to go show other hunters their property. As said before, that is not Semi-guide, that is a totally un-guided hunt.
