Triple M Outfitters

So I booked this one day hog hunt as part of a long weekend in South Florida. When I booked the hunt, I emailed the outfitter and told him that I was a bowhunter and when on the phone I also explained that I was a bowhunter. When I showed up at the assigned time, the guide seemed dismayed that I was hunting with a bow. He was never told this by the owner and said had he known, he would have had me come out much earlier and put me in a blind. Since he was used to hunting with a rifle, he struggles with getting hunters in range for bow shots when stalking or with the swamp buggy. The guide worked hard so I can't fault him there. We chased them around quite a bit on the buggy and finally found one resting under a tree and I took that pig. The guide just isn't used to guiding bowhunters. If the outfitter did have guides that are used to hunting with bow and arrow, I feel that I should have been assigned one or advised me to come at a different time to accommodate this fact. It isn't a big money hunt, but regardless I should have been treated a little better. I appreciated the work the guide did and tipped him accordingly. The guide also when out of his way to make sure I got my hog processed and could get the meat within the weekend to take home. That was helpful.
