Hunter Comments

Having grown up in Northwest Kansas hunting has been a part of my family’s life hunting trophy white tail, amazing waterfowl, thousands of acres for upland birds, and fishing that is a good as anywhere.  I’ve been on multiple guided out of state hunts to include an amazing bear hunt  a few years ago with New Mexico Hunting Adventures and just recently spent a week hunting mountain lion with this same organization.  My bear hunting experience was nothing short of amazing and yielded a trophy bear making it the hunt of a lifetime.   I returned this last January to hunt Mountain Lion with the same guide leading my bear hunt previously.  I was truly impressed with the dedication and commitment of this group working to make this an unforgettable experience.  While I was familiar with the men guiding this hunt, I really got to know them during this week witnessing them work through unexpected areas closed due tag limits and weather conditions but that didn’t stop them, not for a second.  Going beyond was their commitment taking us on horseback to remote wilderness that can only be described as incredible.  The accommodations were wonderful, spacious, comfortable beds, and relaxing.  In this county you didn’t have any trouble sleeping because the terrain was a workout.   The meals were deliciously home cooked and at the conclusion a great get together celebrating treeing 2 cats and seeing unbelievable country.  While I was not able to tag a lion this time the hunt was nothing short of one of my best hunts yet.  I also made some  great friends and plan to return with my father for a bear hunt later this year.
