Ryan, Joe, and the Sawtooth team were excellent hosts. Their area is rugged, beautiful country and they made every effort to put us on trophy quality Elk. The hunt started slow; very little Elk-sign but plenty of grizzly bears and goats to keep me entertained. The slow start did not dampen the guide's enthusiasm or effort. While I did not get a look at a 6-point shooter by the end of the hunt Ryan was successful in calling in two large 5-pointers; one to less than 10 yards away bugling like a madman. That wildlife interaction coupled with amazing accommodations, hiking, scenery, and general alpine adventure made the hunt very memorable.
