A friend and I hunted with Rough Country with a General Elk license out of their traditional lodge the last week of September. The quantity and quality of elk exceeded my expectations. We each had good opportunities to kill bulls and I finally killed on the last day. The operation has been going since 1979. Very reputable outfitter and guides. Our guide, Dusty, had guided for Rough Country for 16 years while another had been there for 30 years. I would not hesitate to recommend this outfitter. While it is likely not considered a "trophy" area on a general tag, we definitely saw bulls that 95% of bowhunters would be tickled with taking.
