Full disclosure, I had no experience hunting in Africa before this. I knew there were going to be fences before I went, it's South Africa. There is a lot of farming citrus, cattle, ect. Ken has a lot of big fenced areas. There were 3 of us hunting buffalo we were all in different area's, a lot of driving for some. Conditions were a little tough for bowhunting, very light winds for the most part. Hard to track and stalk with 3 people in dry conditions. The 2 rifle buff hunters had to work hard for there chance's, it came together for them on day 4 and 5. After a bunch of stalks that didn't work out late afternoon day 5 we were basically done heading to back to the lodge, 1.5 hr drive. We saw some buff cross the trail in the distance. PH Jannie pulled over and it was on. We jogged through a dried up water hole with an old earthen dam. Jannie looked over the top and there were several bulls heading our way. We made our move when they were behind some brush. The lead bull was the shooter and gave me a 25 yard shot. Ken hunts buffalo that naturally propagate, they are behind fences but you see cows, calves, young bulls, and older bulls and they were wired. I really enjoyed my time there. I never had much interest in plains game until I got there, after 3 days connected on a nice wildebeest.
