I recommend this outfitter

My hunt was planned last minute when I discovered I had a business trip to Indiana in the first week of November and decided I needed to find somewhere to hunt since I was going to be in the midwest during the peak of the rut. I started researching & came across Premier Outfitters' website. I called the number on the website and the owner, Mark Clifford answered within the first couple of rings. I gave Mark a quick rundown of my situation and explained I'd be hunting solo and asked if there was anything available during my window of time desired. Of course, I asked multiple questions about the operation, land, management practices, etc, etc...I could tell almost immediately that Mark and I shared similar beliefs on what trophy hunting is all about and what is required to arrive at a place where the given property can produce the desired results. To my delight, Mark understands that harvesting bucks that are of the correct age structure is key to holding quality deer now and in the future. Hence Premiere's 140 inch requirement and/or a 4.5 yr old minimum age buck is what's being targeted, and that standard is held to account which insures quality bucks for years to come. They also do do their due diligence describing to Hunters that come into camp that may hail from states where the deer just simply don't get as big as they do in Western Kentucky the difference between a 2 yr old buck and a 4 yr old buck.. all the guys I spoke to other than my own we're all on the same page with Mark and had one goal in mind and that is to get their Hunters on a mature buck. Of course it's fair chase so some folks get lucky and some folks don't but there's no shortage of deer sightings and mature Buck sightings. I passed a mid 140 class 10 point first afternoon and he was the 9th Buck I'd seen that day.. that deer was a three year old as far as I could tell and most everyone that saw my video of him at 30 yards agreed. I saw another deer a day later that was in the mid-150s and then on the last day I saw a deer in the mid-160s but I just couldn't get a shot because they were running does at a distance of more than 100 yards. Had they stopped it would have been different story. I saw an absolute ton of deer along with lots of bucks. Stands were comfortable , food was great, accommodations were fantastic, guide was knowledgeable and very attentive, and the owner Mark was present and very focused on everyone being taken care of. I've been with a few Outfitters over the years in the Midwest but this I was by far the best I've experienced, even though I did not fill my tag. I had the opportunity to fill my tag though, so I look at that as successful.. I was just waiting on an absolute stud to walk by which could have happened any moment, given the quality of the Farms we were hunting and the deer I'd seen already. Needless to say, I will be visiting Premiere again as soon as possible and I highly recommend this Outfitter!. Thanks to Mark, Hollis, and Brian for making it a memorable hunt. Looking forward to doing it again!
