Monster Whitetail OutfittersIowa

The name says if all. I saw monster whitetails every day. We were concerned as the weather was unseasonably warm (70+ degrees) for the first 3 days and day 4 was heavy rains. During the first 2 days I saw 29 bucks - 3 shooters in the 150 class. Even in the heat the rut activity was like nothing I’ve ever witnessed. Bucks were chasing doe and every hot doe had multiple bucks on her tail. I had 2 shooters within 50 yards on the first two days but could not get shots. Day 3 brought slightly cooler temps than the first two but still warm. Throughout the day I saw 12 more bucks including the one I shot. Around 4:30 I had a 180+ bucks chasing a doe and I couldn’t get him to leave her. I aggressively rattled and heard a crashing come from the bedding area. A beautiful 9 point stepped out putting on a show taking trees and made a scrape 50 yards away. When the grunts didn’t work I snort wheezed and he committed. I shot him and 28 yards and he died within sight. 147 5/8. Josh has thousands of acres and does not pressure his farms. There were 2 of us on a 1,280 acre farm. We were driven to our tree stand and picked up by a Polaris side-by-side. The deer had no fear of these vehicles and in some cases did not leave food plot while I climbed up. All but 2 guys in camp got shots off and one those two passed several 150 class bucks (in Iowa). A monster 165” bucks was taken in Iowa and multiple booners were sighted. I have already booked for next year!!
