Hunter Comments
I recommend this outfitter

Kodiak is no easy bowhunt, but the adventure level is OFF THE CHART exciting. For those of us who can't afford to hunt the great bears of Kodiak, this is a very nice alternative. Sure, it is a lot to go through for a deer, and a little racked deer at that, but it is all worth it. The sitkas are the prettiest deer of North America in my opinion, and while some can be relatively easy to stalk, others are just as wary as any whitetail. Captain Roark has a great offering in this hunt. If money were no object, I would do this one every year, it is that much fun. Be in shape though, this will be one of the most physically demanding deer hunts you may ever experience. The terrain really wears on a guy, and the weather is less than welcoming. Overall a great adventure!!!!!!!!

Weather Comments:
I don't know if I can say Kodiak and unusually wet in the same sentence, but let's say the weather certainly impacted our hunt. We had 2 1/2 days of good hunting weather. The rest was an exercise in futility - I and thought the Mulchatna car wash was wet!
