Poor food (breakfast burrito every morning, only ham/cheese and PBJ sandwiches for lunch, eat dinner on paper plates, every meal Mexican dishes). Poor hunting ethics by staff, pack your own animal out, lack of organization, owner is arrogant and rude, guides have little to now experience.

This hunter was one of seven hunters that week in our unit 36 camp. We went 100% that week on bulls and this hunter in particular killed one of the bigger bulls in camp. Not only did he have a successful hunt, we gave him the master bedroom in a beautiful 4,000 sq ft lodge we operate out of he used one of our custom rifles on his hunt (never paid the fee for use). In addition, my wife personally did all the cooking that week in camp and we have never received a single negative complaint about our food in over 400 guided hunts. In addition, this client left camp with a smile on his face, a deep freezer full of meat, and beautiful bull in the bed of his truck. He never once reached out to us with any concerns and in fact notified his bank to stop payment on his payment check the day after he left camp. I tried to reach out to him via phone and left several voicemails to discuss the situation and no answer. He eventually responded via email and went so far to try to blackmail me by saying if we let him have his hunt for 50% off, he wouldn't go online and bash us with a negative review. Of course, within 24 hrs of receiving his email, my lawyer notified Mr. Aric Risbrudt that he had 48 hrs to pay the amount due under his signed contract or we would see him in NM court. Of course, Mr. Risbrudt quickly abandoned his extortion tactics and paid for his hunt in full. All other 7 hunters in camp that week went out of their way to tell us it was the best hunt they have ever been on. Steer clear of this guy, he is only looking to take advantage of hard working outfits and blackmail them for reduced pricing after the fact with the threat of posting baseless negative reviews on sites like this! I mean, who does that? We have guided over 400 clients and never experienced a real crook like this.
