After first night I had a deer down , guide suggested a butcher near his home which was 30 minutes away. I had to leave a day early and went to pickup my venison. It was in box ready to go. I put into my cooler and drove back home. 5 hours away. went I got home taking out the venison I noticed I missing several steaks. called guide and explained the problem. He went next day to butcher and grabbed the missing steaks. Was promised to have them shipped over night to me. had several more conversation during the month of December and got blamed for not checking box. Rather than risking not getting my venison I bit my tongue. 80 days later and numerous text messages still blaming me for my initial mistake I still haven't got my steaks. I finally emailed him and told to keep it and called him unprofessional. I have hunted in two countries never mind many states and never experience this. I usually end up being friends with all my guides and share my meat or send them xmas cards and talk periodically during the year. This scenario has definitely left a sour taste in my mouth.
