Don Lind does a great job with logistics and his guides are top-notch. Moose are a low-density animal and the guides worked hard to get us on a good bull. We saw 3 shooter bulls during 10 days and the main problem was that after riding 8 hours back into the bush we had to compete with a MRA guide/hunter (same outfit) that motored up the river by boat and hunted the exact same bulls we were hunting. My guide talked to the other guide and asked them to hunt another area. He also texted Don about the situation. Next day they were back in the area we were hunting and shot a bull less than 1/2 mile from where we were hunting. Frustrating to pay that much money and hunt in a remote area and have to compete with a hunter from the same outfitter. Was basically told "tough luck" when I tried to discuss my concerns with the outfitter. The guides and the wranglers were shocked by the whole deal. Still a great hunt and i think MRA is basically a good outfit, just unfortunate to have to deal with a situation like this on a high-dollar "remote" hunt.
