My wife and I have been hunting with Dan & Nancy for many years now. The last few years it has been a Spring turkey hunt followed by a Fall whitetail hunt.... I can't say much more about our experiences at Pennyrile that I haven't already said in previous reports other than each year gets better and better...!
Each season, Dan continues to expand on his management program by acquiring more quality farms and planting more food. The overall quality of both deer and turkeys seems to increase exponentially each season, and we saw more quality deer season than ever.... The camp itself will not disappoint. Accommodations are impeccably clean and very comfortable, with no detail left out right down to the boot dryers in each cabin... Dan & Nancy continue to do whatever is necessary to ensure every hunter in camp has the best experience possible.
We had record cold temps during our hunt with freezing rain, then ice, and then snow with wind chills in the single digits. Despite the weather, The deer movement remained strong throughout, and we saw lots of deer with good bucks every day. I was fortunate enough to take another good buck with my bow on the last morning....
