I had an awesome time at widerack outfitters and would highly recommend them. This was my first hunt with an outfitter and I wasn't sure what to expect but chose widerack based on recommendations. Everything about the hunt exceeded my expectations. Widerack has 6 different camps. We chose the "O-Camp" which is a semi-guided hunt and a private camp which holds 4-6 hunters in your party. I really liked that the camp is archery only and is only hunted 3 weeks of the year - i.e. not overhunted. Our guide, Mike Owsley, was awesome. He was waiting and ready for us when we arrived. He showed us our cabin and once we unpacked he drove us around the property showing us the numerous stands (ladders and blinds, strategically baited) and providing recommendations of where to hunt. The cabin was fully equipped (full kitchen, bathroom, washer/dryer, satellite tv, etc.) and had everything needed for the stay. Each day we could pick our own stands and hunt wherever we chose. Mike checked in with us each evening after the hunt, but he was always just a phone call away if we needed anything. Each day we saw plenty of deer including some shooters. Upon shooting a deer he helped retrieve it, take it back to camp and even took me to the butcher. Once I tagged out I thought I was going to be bored the rest of the week, but Mike came to the rescue. He took me out to scout the property, fill feeders, check trail cams and just hang out. He went above and beyond! I can't wait to return!!!

Freak cold spell. First day was sunny and in the 50s. Next morning woke up to high winds, several inches of snow and in the teens. 3rd morning was single digit temps and no wind. Gradually warmed up remainder of the hunt.
