This was my second bowhunt with MVO, three years ago my father and I both killed nice moose. This year I had a woodland Caribou tag and moose tag. Dad was rifle hunting. I killed a very nice stag on the second day of my bowhunt, one of the two stags I seen for the week. I was committed to Caribou hunting until I scored. As luck would have it I had three and days to moose hunt. Moose hunting was slow for the week, however I did see a few small bulls. My dad missed big bull the first day and killed a small bull on day four. The weather, which was terrible all week played a big part in the slower moose hunting. Regardless of the weather some moose were seen, however the big bulls weren’t cooperating. We had a great hunt. I can say enough good about Dean, his guides ( Dwayne, Ivan, Hector and Jason), Wanda who kept us well fed and the logistics with the brush flights. First class operation all the way around. My guide for both trips was Ivan and he did a great job, I had a blast hunting with him. Dad and Hector got along great. We can’t wait to get back up for another hunt.
