Evan and Dave have a fantastic bear camp. I can't say enough of the time and effort they put into their operation. They manage their area for trophy animals by only taking a small number during the spring and fall season. Each bait has a trail cam pic of what bears are hitting it. Evan sent current pics of what bears are hitting the baits before we arrived. The baits are remote and have a lot of activity. They will not hesitate to move you to another bait if needed. They have a solid game plan for each hunter. Without a doubt, they want you to harvest a trophy bear. I harvested my bear on the second night. It was 305 lbs, 6' 8" from the nose to the tail and should make Pope and Young. The food and accommodations are top notch. More importantly, they make you feel welcome and a part of their family. In my opinion, if you leave a hunting camp with new friends it is a great success. I will definitely be back. Thanks Evan and Dave for a great experience!
Thanks very much for the kind words it’s greatly appreciated. Shane and his brother Danny were such a pleasure to have in camp, Shane shot a gorgeous bear and Danny had some tough luck on his bear but all in all a great week with some great company. We can’t wait to have them back again soon.
The daytime temps were in the lower to mid 60's. It was windy both days. There were showers on the night I shot my bear. It seemed to increase the movement since I had activity all night.
