I do not recommend this outfitter

We were suppose to on horseback, we show up, never saw a horse! Cody said he has nice 1000 yard shooting range.with steel targets. Try 100 yrd to a pallet with paper target. While hunting only saw people no animals. He’s a salesman and a liar. He was an exspensive mistake! DO NOT TRUST A WORD CODY CARR SAYS!

Was the outfitter notified of problems? - YES

Outfitter's Response
Disagree

The week in question we harvested both elk and mule deer bucks. It was a slow elk week but a fantastic mule deer buck week. Every week Montana has different type of weather for hunting. Daniel did not shoot at our 1000 yd range with everybody else as he arrived to late to drive the 20 minutes up to that range so we improvised and at least got his gun shot in before dark. Our thousand yard range has targets from 100 yards out to 1000 yards for a client to zero in their guns. Our horses are positioned in Plains and we use them in the other camp to pack out game. This was explained to Daniel as his guide did not use horses as much as the other guides due to the terrain he hunted in, although he would call the horses in for pack outs. Both Daniel and his partner agreed that this guide was their best option for the hunt as he is one exceptional hunting guide. Their guide was a 14 year veteran guide that now is a full time pastor of a local church and still guides part time for us when needed. Daniel and his partner hunted only 3 1/2 days before giving up. Thats like throwing in the towel at half time. Its tough to compare high fences to a Montana big game hunt in the mountains. Remember a guide is only as good as the hunter he is guiding. I say this not meaning any disrespect but it its the truth. This is not the outdoor channel this is real hunting. If a hunter has not prepared physically for a hunt it can make for a miserable experience for both clients. I really wish Daniel the best of luck on his future hunts and hope he finds the hunt he is looking for. Remember to always pull the guide and outfitter aside so everybody is on the same page. Your outfitter and guide want you to harvest probably more than you do. A lot of times simple communication so the guide and outfitter understand what they can do to make your experience better. Thank you,

Cody
