This years hunt was a pretty quick one for me.
The first morning I had a 170 class mule deer tending a doe about 200 yards from me. Even though I didn’t have a miler deer stamp it was a great encounter. Later that morning I rattled in a 130 class mule deer into 15 yards. I didn’t see any white tails the first morning. That evening I sat the same stand and had a really good whitetail buck within 400 yards but couldn’t get his attention.
The next morning I went to a different stand. At 8 am I rattled. 5 minutes later I had the buck I shot at 15 yards. The shot was good and the buck made it about 150 yards.
