Mike Connett of Widerack Outfitters runs an amazing camp! I booked my hunt with Mike in February and the wait was truly worth it. Ohio's ease of tags for out of state residents was the reason I chose the state of Ohio, and after extensive research, I realized Widerack was the place for me! Upon arrival Mike provided trail cam pictures of select bucks, but I had no clue what I was getting into! Stand placements were amazing! Mike flip flops stands so there is no favorites, and in just 3 sits (2 morning, 1 evening) I was able to see 13 doe and 3 bucks, 2 of which I had shots at within 30 yards and was able to harvest an absolute monster of a buck that had 129 inches of horn and weighed 235 pounds live weight that Mike believes to be 7 1/2 years old! Besides the deer, Camp was amazing, stocked with drinks and snacks and fruit, comfortable beds, and ELENA (Mike's wife) is the chef of the century! I hunted main camp, but I also had the pleasure of seeing the church camp that he also offers guided services at with his son Jason as the guide, This place has some beautiful woods and the guys in camp seemed to be pleased with the activity, along with 2 harvests at the church camp! Im already booked for next season because the experience I had was absolutely phenomenal. I would recommend Widerack Outfitters to ANYONE!!
