Our group requested Jeffery Davis as our guide the week prior to our arrival time, Jeffery suggested that due to the amount of pressure that the Kentucky farms were receiving that maybe we should bow hunt in Ohio instead. So deciding that we would be bowhunting only a couple of days before leaving for the hunt kind of changed the game for me seeing how I had not even shot my bow in 2 years. It didn’t take long before I felt pretty good about a bow hunt. As far as how good was he as a guide? I don’t know how he could have been any better. He showed us 3 target bucks that we should be on the lookout for the moment we arrived and helped us get our gear in the lodge. Took us out to get our liscense and catered to us for a solid 3 days. We enjoyed our trip to whitetail heaven and experienced some of the most beautiful hunting land that I have seen!! I hope to go back there someday, we may have not killed a big buck, but the memories in the field with a good friend and my son are priceless!!!
