Enjoyed hunting in Ohio and given the opportunity to hunt trophy whitetail deer and see the beautiful Ohio terrain. My guide, Jeffrey Davis, was outstanding and worked really hard to put me and my group on some big deer. He had trail cam pictures of four 140” - 150” mature deer that were frequenting our stand locations. Jeffrey helped us get our liscenses and tags once we arrived at camp, provided us with a couple safety harnesses we forgot, got us to and from our stands safely and comfortablely, descented us in route, and was basically at our becking call all 3 days. I saw a mature 130” deer, but passed as we were on a 140” minimum farm. I saw one mature 140” + deer that was out of range. I saw numerous younger bucks and does during my 3 day hunt. I appreciated him allowing me to sit all day (I’ve been with outfitters who would not allow that). Of course I would have loved to harvest a trophy whitetail, but it didn’t work out for our group this time. I hope we’ll be able to try again next year.
