I do not recommend this outfitter

Dave Dutchek is a man of poor character to say the least. It was his last year to run the camp (unknown to anyone) and he could care less if you were successful or not. He did however care about the money, which he brought up regularly. How much it cost him to run the camp. Our "guides" were kids, 18 and 22 years old. Did not know a sheep from an elk. The area that we were sent to hunt was poor at best, rarely did we break 4000 ft elevation. Saw few sheep and 0 rams. Dave did absolutely nothing to try and relocate. Shoshone Wilderness "booking agent" was even worse. I wrote to let him "John Andres" know about my dissatisfaction and he literally cut me down and listened to absolutely nothing I said. Very disappointed in both of these businesses. I have been with many outfitters and brokers and have hunted all over the U.S. and Canada, these two are truly something else. Shoshone will sell you a great story but stands behind nothing. Like the 10% discount off of hunts booked with him (after you pay your $400.00 fee). B.S., never got squat. My recommendation would be to stay as far away from these two people as you can. They want nothing but your money!! Please call if you would like more information, I still have the e-mail from John Andres that he sent me. You will be amazed about his professionalism. Another wonderful character. Todd

Outfitter's Response
Disagree

We took 24 out of 25 rams in our 2016 season. It is unfortunate that Mr. Looney thinks we did not try our best to make him number 25. John Andres should not have been brought in on this either. John and I have worked together for several years and have never received feed back like Mr. Looney's. I am not going to write you a hundred reasons why Redstone is not at fault for Mr. Looney not taking a ram, I will let you figure that one out yourselves by the success rate above and number of years both Redstone and Shoshone have been in business. "Can't make everyone happy" but we try.

Weather was a factor in leaving, we were fogged in for 5 days. I did receive a bill from Dave Dutchek 2 weeks later for $5,000.00 for the extra days we sat at camp, no horses, no guides, no hunting.
