This was Our second trip out to Kentucky to hunt with Premier Outfitters. This year we chose to hunt the first season of Rut with rifle. The weather was a little warmer than we would have liked but that's mother nature. However That did not hinder the amount of deer that our group saw. of our group of three we harvested two great bucks. I myself saw the biggest buck that i have ever laid my eyes on but just couldn't get the shot due to distance and the deer chasing a doe and disappeared. I let a couple of shooter bucks walk because i made the choice to hunt the GIANT that i had seen. I told our group that i would go home with him or nothing. That was My choice i did not harvest a deer. Our guide Hal was very knowledgeable about the farm we hunted. prior to walking me to my stand in the morning he gave me tips on where to be watching. He was spot on. These deer are all free range and move during the rut. These deer are not tied to trees. Be patient and enjoy what mother nature has provided us. Mark I say thank you for providing us with another great time. Seeing all of you again was like seeing family. I can say this we didn't want to leave. You and your staff make us feel so welcome. I would Highly recommend PREMIER OUTFITTERS. These guys are first class!! I will be contacting you about the youth hunt. Its time to get the daughter out there and get her eyes on these Giants. John, you guys make hunting fun. The commitment you made to hunt that booner was awesome and to pass up solid shooters to try and tag him was refreshing. He will be crazy big in 2017. Can't wait to see all you guys again.
