Hunter Comments
I recommend this outfitter

Gunther runs a first class outfit at Wizard Lake. What separates Gunther from all outfitters I have hunted with over 30 years is the fact that he is as committed a bow hunter himself as you will find anywhere. This translates in his scouting, his stand placement, and his focus and preparation to put you within bow range of a Pope and Young whitetail. Hunting with Gunther is a quality, not a quantity hunt, so be sure that your goals and expectations are to chase trophy whitetails. You need to patient and committed to your stand, be willing to sit from dawn to dark, and be prepared both physically and mentally for the November weather in northern Alberta. If you do these things, your odds are high to encounter a world class Bow Zone whitetail as I have on each of my last three annual hunts. Closing the deal will be up to you. Gunther and Zabrina run the camp as a large family affair, the food is top notch and the accommodations fine. But then again, my hunting partners and I would sleep in a hut to get a whack at hunting with Gunther for a Bow Zone buck every year! We will be heading back to Wizard Lake each year for an archery hunt and hopefully for as long as we can draw our bows....and I'm also looking forward to Gunther's trophy bear hunt in 2017.
