I do not recommend this outfitter

The other complaints are all totally valid so I won't bother reiterated feces coming through the cabin stories, nor will I explain in detail how the camp was literally rotting away, nor will I go deeper into explaining how many locals showed up at camp demanding to be paid for services rendered. Nor will I mention that hospitality quit so there were no clean linens, etc.

Lets just talk about two key facts because lets be honest, if the hunting is good the amenities are not really crucial even if poorly described or not honestly represented.

Fact 1:

Insufficient resources. Too many people quitting mid-hunt and pre-hunt left insufficient guides and assistants at camp. That in turn prevented proper baiting of the area. That in turn limited hunting opportunities. That in turn meant many people saw no bear at all.

Fact 2:

The business model of this organization is to "give away" "free hunts". It was the laughing joke of everyone we met up there as we went into stores and they said "don't tell me, you won a bear hunt at a charity event!". Everything is substandard because they create hunts where they donate them everywhere, then coax you into coming with a buddy that pays full rate so they make money in that fashion. You're paying 2x fair value in order to cover all their "free" donations.

I can personally attest to seeing and hearing many people at camp alleging money was due or that they were unpaid. Many people including the staff all said the owner, Bob McConnell is not an honest man. (not my opinion, I'm repeating what my hosts were telling the clients)

I was also told that Bob McConnell was contacting authorities tit-for-tat with his contractors/employees playing legal wars with each other and it effects me. Don't pay me my money? I'm going to the department of labor! Go to the government to complain about that, I'll go to the government and complain you shouldn't be working while on disability. Don't shut up and not complain, I'll run off with all the bear tags for all the guests. Don't make noise to me or I'll have customs seize all the raw skins and you won't get the clients taxidermy.

Bottom line, all BS. My taxidermy was held up as a green hide with all the others in a tit-for-tat allegedly between staff, taxidermists and Bob McConnell.

What Mr. McConnell forgets is that he is the boss and he is accountable. You do not drag clients into your "inside baseball" problems. You do not do anything that will potentially harm your client in a downstream manner as you try to fight with your employees.

I cannot express how poorly I feel this owner operates his firm.
