Me and my wife were taken advantage by Bob McConnell he is a scam artist. He promised Deluxe cabins and a 90% success ratio on his website. We booked an all inclusive bear/fishing trip. The lodging was a complete disaster that it did not pass health inspection by the Canadian health ministry. Our lodge had a backed up sewer problem that every few hours the toilet would erupt with gases that were unbearable to deal with. The toilet leaked water causing a fungus to grow all over the floors. The kitchen had mold on the counter tops and sink. The cabin was advertised to have a queen size bed with fresh linens. The sheets and pillows were completely filthy. We had to bait our own sites and drive ourselfs to the bait sites. Hunted 10 hour days in the bush never seen a bear. The main lodge was full of chipmunks and feces all over the place. The meals we had were a joke. We were feed cold sandwiches and soups for 7 days. The cost for my wife was 1000 bucks which was to include gormet meals and a deluxe cabin. The fishing was a joke there were no poles no tackle at camp so we never got a chance to fish. The total cost of this nightmare was around 8-9 grand. We flew from Houston Texas to Toronto and then to ThunderBay. Rented a car and drove to longlac. There were 9 others in camp that dealt with these same horrible conditions. Come to find out he had book 83 hunters and only had 50 bait sites. No bears were killed when we were at camp other than a 60 & 90 pound Cubs. Please stay clear of Bob and do a full research and see how many people he has screwed from bear, elk, whitetail deer, to fishing. He is banned from multiple SCI chapters and being fully investigated for fraudulent practices by others.
