Swift Creek Outfitters

I have been on 3 guided and 4 un-guided elk hunts. This hunt took place the second week of the archery season. The good- Beautiful scenery, good horses, and help around camp. The guides were hard workers. All camp help was nice and worked hard. We saw two nice bulls, in the 300 range, so that was nice. My buddy killed a small 6x6. Of the three of us in camp, he is the only one that had an opportunity to shoot. The not so good-Swift Creek runs a very successful horseback riding business. No one had taken the time to scout before the hunt, since the horseback riding business stops when the elk season begins. I felt like we spent alot of time scouting after the morning hunt. The cook was horrible. Even the help around the camp complained. I think that Swift Creek outfitters offers a good rifle elk hunt. Currently, they had two hunts lined up for bowhunters. One group our week and one group a week later. Since I have hunted with both a rifle and a bow, Id say that they are more set up to do rifle hunts. I would not return as a bowhunter with Swift Creek Outfitters.
