I booked a 3 day deer hunt with Alton White of Whiteway Plantation in late November. The hunt allows you 1 buck and 2 does, and a got a 9 point buck and a doe in the 2 days I was there (some things came up at home so I had to leave early). Alton has a 4,000 acre farm with lots of varying terrain, woods, swamps, and fields and many good stands. I could have easily taken 2 does along with the buck, but I did not want to shoot does with fawns. The hunters' lodge is very nice, with a private bathroom, and the ATVs used to retrieve the deer are in good shape. There is a deer processor just 5 minutes away from the farm, so you can be back hunting an hour after taking a deer. Alton is a very nice man, and a lot of fun to talk to, as are the people who work with him, including his sons. The farm is about 1 1/2 hours south of Atlanta, so it is very convenient if you live in the area.
