Joe's service is a little different than a traditional outfitter. He essentially provides an area and a hunt plan for DIY hunters. When I was looking into elk hunting I had no idea where to start. I had no western connections or leads. Following the maps and hunt plan Joe provided, I was into elk the very first morning of my hunt. I was also able to work on bugling bulls every day of my hunt with one exception. They were quiet one day for some reason beyond anyone's control. Joe gave me a huge push in the right direction, and I couldn't be happier with my hunt. Using Joes service potentially saved me thousands in fuel cost, and probably years of stumbling around on my own trying to find the kind of quality hunting he put me on. I got my first elk, a very nice 5x6 that was quite a bit better than I had expected or hoped for. I absolutely would recommend Joe to a friend, he will do everything he can to help you. Thanks Pat. I do my best. I've outfitted, guided, and hunted alot of country and I can't be everywhere so I figured some would see the value in my services passing on quality elk hunting spots. I also enjoy being a part of people getting their first elk. That's very self rewarding and I couldn't be happier that you connected on a nice bull. On a side note I did some prospecting of new country this season. Not far from where you hunted. Not a single track let alone elk. Those are the kind of trips I spare my clients from having. The place looked perfect on topos and Google Earth but was a waste of valuable time and effort.
