This is my 2nd hunt with Freelance Outdoor Adventures. I took a great mountain goat in the Chugach Mtns with them in 2011. This hunt was for Dall Sheep in one of the limited draw areas (14C; hunt code DS237). Lance Kronberger runs a tight ship - very professional. I hunted with guide Allen McKinney. He was an amiable and knowledgeable guide who worked hard to make the hunt both successful and fun. The hunt was physically taxing (although much less so than the goat hunt) but Allen went out of his way to make it manageable for this 55 year old, including carrying out a 103 lbs pack! We didn't see a lot of rams before I shot my sheep on the 3rd day of the hunt but I took a 12 year old, 37.5" ram. Allen had thoroughly prescouted prior to my arrival so he had a good handle on where this trophy rams was. I am scheduled for peninsula brown bear with Freelance in 2016 and I expect another top-notch experience.
