Had a great time with Jeff and his staff this past season. We went for a 6 day bow hunt in the middle of November. You can tell it is Jeff's passion for everyone to have an opportunity at getting a great buck. He was very knowledgeable and helpful when it came to putting you in the right stand. Here are the things everyone wants to know. *Lodging- There are two places to stay at Hickory Creek. One of the cabins had a tv and nicer accommodations. I stayed in the other lodge which was just 2 separate rooms each with a bathroom. There was another cabin next to ours that had a kitchen where we would all meet for meals. I was not concerned about staying at the nicer cabin because you are basically there to hunt, eat, and sleep. My friend and I hunted with 4 other guys we hadn't met, 2 from alabama and 2 from new york. We had a great time with them and look forward to hunting with them in the future. *Food- Breakfast and lunch are just continental. Nothing fancy. If you can't find anything you like there is a store about 15 minutes away in Sedan. Dinners were brought in every night from a lady who lived in town and every meal was excellent. *Deer- Every hunt we would see anywhere between 5-15 deer. I saw one shooter during the week that was out of bow range, and two the last night of the hunt. I shot the first one and as is usually the case a bigger one came by 5 minutes later and stood 25 yards in front of me for 5 minutes. I didn't care, I was proud of the 12 pointer I shot. Overall I was very satisfied with Hickory Creek and Jeff. We are planning another hunt with him in 2013.
