This was my first Quebec caribou hunt, and it went very well. I had heard horror stories about logistics on caribou hunts, but this all went without a hitch. There were few caribou at our first camp, so Richard Hume moved us to another camp after the 2nd day. There was no cook for the first couple of days there, so Richard's wife Amanda, who is co-owner and manager of the operation, came to cook for us. I never heard of anything like this on any other hunt I have been on, and it was really beyond the call of duty. The move worked, and I got my 1st caribou an hour after arriving at the new camp. The 2nd caribou came 2 days later. The camp was clean and comfortable, and the shower had hot water. What more can you ask for? My guide, John Fequet, did an excellent job with the field work and the food was good. I would give Jack Hume Adventures as high a recommendation as possible.
Thanks for all kind words Andrew. I am glad that the move worked out for you and thanks again for choosing to hunt with us.
Richard
The weather was quite warm for the 1st 3 days, then was in the 40's during the days and around freezing at night.
