What can I say but awesome!!! This was my second year to hunt with Mike and my second year to take a buck. I was able to harvest 3 does as well, and out of 6 people we saw 15 shooter bucks. 4 of the 6 in camp harvested bucks on this trip. The food was wonderful and Mike is a sheer joy to be around. Even with poor weather Mike knows the deer herd and I was able to take my buck on the last 20 minutes of the last day of the last hunt. Without a doubt it was the best shot I have ever made, and I will never forget it. If you go to the Wide Rack make sure you ask Mike to show you his special technique for gutting a deer with 2 knives. I had the privilege of making the trip with 3 of my friends and they all said it was the most fun and the best hunting trip of their life. We had 2 other men in camp Mike and Kurt and I felt like they were family. Mike and Elana made us all feel like family, and we hope to make a week with Mike and Elana at the Wide Rack an annual pilgrimage. Our week at the Wide Rack is a trip we will never forget. Dan, Dan, the Mississippi muzzy slinger. If any other outfitters are reading this I recommend you only let Dan go to his stand with one arrow. Dan and his group were one of the finest bunch of Godly men I have ever had the pleasue to have in my home. Ms. Elena & I also look forward to there return next year. They all loved to Hunt, Fellowship, and keep the camp livly! These fellas loved to shoot at things so much out of thier stands one of them was target practicing on rocks. Or at least I believe that was the way the story went. Thanks Dan for almost letting out my new invention with the two knife skinning tecnique. Once it catches on all deer hunters will be using it.
