I had the pleasure of being able to go to Full Draw Outfitters in Mendon, Illinois last week and I thought I would share with you all my expirence. This was my first ever guided hunt. I had no idea what to expect when I arrived. Jeff was very helpful. Him and Rodney would take me and the three other hunters in to our stands each morning and afternoon, he would tell us what he thought would be a good setup each time, and would even let us pick which stands we wanted to hunt. The lodge was perfect, the people were super friendly, I could not have asked for a better time. Hunting was pretty slow during my time there but we were hunting the first week of October and it was very warm some of the days. I saw 4 shooter bucks while I was there and that was most anyone saw. Everyone did see deer though. On the last day of my hunt I killed a 135" 10 pointer at 20 yards. If anyone is looking for a place to go in Illinois, I would highly reccomend this place. I do know that I will be back and you will not find better people to hunt with.
